Anzac day

Post by Paul.nz »

It is that time of the year when we celebrate anzac day.I was up at 4am getting ready to go to the dawn ceremony in the city. The road going into the city was busy with all the people going to it.130,000 soldiers died in the galippi battle including about 3000 kiwis and 8000 australians. Also 10,000 french died in the battle. In 1915 three thousand soldiers for a small country was huge.
This was a worlds war and most countrys took part.Soldiers from all countrys failed to return to their homeland and are buried where they fell.
Next year will be the 100th year of celebrating (or remembering) what happened before all of us were born.
We also can not forget soldiers from the second world war and all other wars. Also all the soldiers still fighting today.

Parades will be happening all day today and i will attend the afternoon parade in my area....we will never forget them....
