Monkey's having trouble with Spearhead!

Hey a member needs help!!

Monkey cannot run Spearhead. After looking through the tech support topics. I have him reinstalling the software in the proper order. But if it doesnt work. I need to know what he has to do to get it going.

If anyone has had the same problem and knows how to get it up and running. PLEASE REPLY

Having trouble with spearhead. Please help!!

Hey guys need some help.

I got a new computer recently and for one reason or another Allied Assult will work fine but Spearhead crashes. All patches are in place all drivers are current. The only clue i have is i got the MOHAAS Console reporting some sort of error but its like reading French to me so I have no clue. Here is what the Console says. GLW_StartOpenGL( )-could not openGL subsystem If anyone has an answer to my problem it would be much appreciated.

new vid card - Im not to good with this sort of thing - but post what it is (vid card) and maybe someone is familiar with this problem. If we can't figure it out we can post help on tmt and .map.

Your not the first to have this problem - you may even find an existing thread on one of those sites.

The video card is a EVGA E-GEFORCE 7600 GT. Thanks Viper I will try those sites. Hopefully I can get this working soon im fiending to play. Single player just doesnt cut it anymore.

Are you running Nvidia by chance?

Because if you are I had the same issue, for some reason the new Nvidia drivers and or Cards have an issue with Spearhead and the newer games of MOH...

So I went out and bought a new ATI card instead...

No Issues now runs great...... l8r...

Thanks Rusty im going to see if I can get this one to work. I am running Navidia, wonder why its having problems.

I tried Forums i even went to NVIDIA and they had no answers except "well maybe the game is just to old"....

So I went to ATI after two weeks of trying....

Well EA just sent me an E-Mail saying I had to rename the Mohaa.exe to Mohaa.exe.bak and the moh_spearhead.exe to mohaa.exe. But not to sure how to do that considering i cant find the files to rename.

OK so Rusty im with you. Ive given up so im gonna get an ATI. Any suggestions, what did you end up getting? I ended up talking to Navidia, Microsoft, and EA games. All of them dont know what is going on and Navidia doesnt know if there going to put out a patch oh well. Anyone want to buy a video card real cheap?? LOL

I got the Radeon X1950 256mb

seems to work alright but would have rather have gotten one with 512mb.....

Looks like im gonna grab the 1950 with 512mb. Little pricey but im sure it will kick ass.
