The Best Antivirus Around!!

Post by Felony »

Before dumping your hard drive and losing all of your stuff on your PC i.e. pictures, videos, files, porn, and not playing MOH for awhile...I HIGHLY recommend Avast Antivirus!!!

This program does so much more than standard virus protectors like McAfee and Norton. It's free and all you have to do is register it once every year. They don't email you shit to buy like more products or upgrades. It's your own free will. It also has residence protection!! Meaning, it protects all of your software and files on a continuous basis and alerts you that it has stopped a registry edit or .exe edit before it infects anything, unlike McAfee or Norton. Which try to remove the virus after it has infected the file. Most viruses attach to programs you already have keeping the same name of the original so you have no idea where is is.

On installation it recommends a scan on reboot. DO IT!!!! This performs a low level scan with no resources running making it possible to identify ANY existing viruses on your computer, successfully and completely removing them.

I promise you, with Avast and Spybot...you have one hell of a secure PC!!!! I bet my Gold (Major) Leaf on it!!!!

Uber, is there a way to reschedule the scan other than at start up like when I am sleeping? I went to "schedule" but there is no area to change the scan time. It is a 20min ordeal w/ all the files maps etc, this kinda sucks like watching paint dry lol. Any way no viruses reported, 8)

That is just part of the beauty of this program. After the low level scan, the scan on reboot, your system is protected and will maintain a virus free OS!

I have been using this for about 2 years now and other than the initial low level scan, i have never had to "scan" my computer. If there is a virus attempting "anything" on your system Avast will stop it and in some cases will prompt you to disconnect from the internet when a trojan tries getting through.

Even looking through alot of porn, and Ethical Hacking classes (which use real viruses to manipulate), my compute is more safe than it ever was with all of the other crappy scanners out there.
