Map Paks!

Ok So I have dowloaded these map paks I don't know how many times lol. There are in my main, mainta, and the maint. I have tried all three ways and they still don't work. I want to be able to play my favorite map......Medal Gods Of Domination. But as of right now I can't. When I download the map paks it ask to save or run, i run cause thats what I was taught. Then what? If Anyone could help me please it would be much appreciated.

Are you useing breakthrough or Spearhead ? some downloads go to the Moh/main and some to spearhead's moh/mainTA
- if you are useing breakthrough then the files that go to mainTA - should be moved to mainTT or put everything in main - either should work.

remember - you need to execute the file to instal the paks in moh. if that is not working - let us know. Also - many of the map paks are available in zip format - but you need to extract them into the right folder.

The execute file will will ask if the intended directory is correct and you can redirect the download to any file you choose.

I have executed them to the main and mainta both of them and still they don't work......i use spearhead only. I dont know how to do the zip thingy lol and I dont have winrar. So what should I do now?

well - let's start with metal gods. we will deal with Domination after metal gods is working for you.

first off - I have to check and see if they are on the server.

if so - check your mohaa/main for this

zzz_PKM_Metal_Gods.pk3

if it is there - check your console for errors when you are kicked from the map.

if not - run the instal to a folder on your desktop (that way you know where it is) now drag it into your main

report back.

Ok so I looked and its not in any of my folders for moh even though I downloaded them I will try again though.

ok - once you download the map pak (lets say to your desktop). you need to run the execute to install it to your game.

Ok so I feel real stupid right now....I have them in a folder and to run execute you what? Cause I click on it and it says open right? Then it says open with what program? Adobe....wont let me cause it says its either corrupted or something. I can't play with yall right now cause I don't have the map pak your playing on.

Yea what she said lol I'm running Vista......I have never had this problem before, and I've installed the map paks before.......but of course if Nam was there and I needed help then he would just figure it out.....Now I'm on my own and I know some about computers, but right now I think i need help lol......Mental!

just type in nhancer in the forum search and it'll lead ya to the threads that will help you get older games to run on Vista. I know its a pain in the ass, but YOU CAN DO IT!

Sounds to me like she's downloading the zip files instead of the executables, thats why its asking what program to use. I had problems with the zips too, mainly cause i'm lazy. The executables work great for me but sometimes they need to be installed twice, even though they show as being there.
