Try this tomorrow, it's the best grilled cheeze you'll ever have. My appologies to the ladies of The Best of Bridge series;
1 - Brio style loaf (I use a roasted garlic loaf from the local bakery, but you can use French bread as well)
2 Tbsp Dijon mustard
2 Cups of your favorite cheeze, shredded (I use Kraft Tex-Mex brand, 'cause it's easiest)
1/4 Cup melted butter
1/2 Tsp Worchestershire sauce
2-3 dashes Tobasco sauce, or hot pepper sauce
1 Egg
5 or 6 slices of crisp bacon, chopped
2 Green Onions, chopped
2-3 Shallots, chopped
1/2 Red Pepper, chopped
2-3 Tbsp fresh Rosemary, coarsely chopped
Slice bread lengthwise and spread with mustard. Throughly mix all other ingredients, EXCEPT Rosemary and spread on the sliced bread. Sprinkle Rosemary over mixture and broil until lightly browned. Slice loaf into 1" slices at 45 degree angle and serve hot. Prep time = 15 minutes. Cook time = 5-6 minutes. Serves four.
Best with an ice cold beverage of your choice............................BTW, my money's on the Colts.
