We are so stupid here in California - we set the clocks back every year so its dark at 5 pm just before the little monsters are out on the street.

Don't beat yourself up too much, Viper. We change our clocks as well. Dumbest thing I ever heard of. :!:

I know,way back when, that the clocks were changed in the Summer to aid the farmers getting the crops in, but with today's farming technology, all the screaming about the environment and saving power costs, it seems rather redundant.

My theory is that we use more power in the evenings than in the mornings; to cook dinner, watch TV, light our rooms, play MOHAA etc. and it would make more sense and, I believe, save power to leave the damn thing alone. In fact, set it forward two hours and leave it be!

I'd rather go to work in the dark, than come home in the dark.

Just my two cents worth.

Why do they call it Daylight savings time? Where is the savings :?

There is one thing about daylight savings time up here in Alaska in the winter and that is it's kinda redundant You can have anything you want as long as long as it is dark in the morning and evening. December 21st, 5hrs 20min max of daylight. We all carry flashlights
