NEW PC CANT LOAD SPEARHEAD

Hi all,
can someone help me.
I just picked up a used pc with windows 7 and when I try to load spearhead it doesn't go.
right now it keeps trying to start in safe mode and before that it was stuck on blank screen with mouse pointer.
any ideas? Allied assault works fine. Thanks

ok so I got it to work but the way I had to do it is a pain in the neck
I had to rename .EXE file from moh_spearhead to Mohaa and rename the mohaa in order for it to load the game.
then I have to switch it back when want to play MOHAA.
If anyone can come with a better solution please share.

Did you just need new icon paths? lol

Funny thing is now it works completely fine. I installed a graphics card and driver and what ever files the driver Installed made it work as it should. No fancy renaming needed. Lol
