Battle 360
SS and I watched the marathon on this today.
The only thing more amazing than the show are the experiences the ship and its men actually went through. It was sad to see how this ship was scrapped after the war.
There was one ship's veteran who was glad it wasn't made into a museum/tourist attraction. HE didn't want "ice cream to be sold and little children to play on it" I have a real problem with part of that statement. Now I understand about the ice cream, people are usually slobs. But that ship and its men went through HELL to secure our freedom and liberties so that their generation and future generations of kids wouldn't be under foreign occupation. Little kids playing on the deck of that great ship is the best testament that they succeded.
You know they still have liberty ships and submarines from WWII that you can go through to see the conditions the men endured during the war and I don't think the vessles are disgraced because of it.
Anyway, this is a great series, see it - rent it.
