<TWL> The War Legends

Well, my game crashed tonight and when my pc rebooted the screen was covered with horizontal cyan colored dashes and various pixelated junk.

If I had to guess I'd say my vidcard died. My thought is to go get a new one but I'm not sure what I should get or if there are other steps I should take before doing so.

At any rate I may be out of commission for a whIle.

For now is it possible I can switch off vcard and use on board vid?
Any suggestions?

Viper i posted a thread here ages ago about repairing video cards.I had the same problem with a old 8800gt and a 9800gt.Pull it apart and bake it,you have nothing to use.
Make sure the components are up top aiming down otherwise they will fall out.

Instead of using tin foil i now just use long bolts with 2 nuts on the end to hold things off the oven.this holds the items much better.
