If you have or will take the plunge to go to Windows Vista, never fear Uber is here.

I have been running MOH on my Vista machine for about a month now with no issues. As far as I know, I'm the only one in the clan that is successfully running Vista.

If you have any questions about Vista, I'm making myself available to you. Post any of your questions, tips, concerns, bitches and complaints here.

I'll even make some documents with pretty pictures if you can't figure it out and use the pictures instead of reading.

I need some help getting my spearhead to work on windows vista os. I've tried compatibility wizard but cant seem to get the settings right. what happens is it shows splash screen, loads console, then crashes to a black screen. I bring up the task mamager and it says progrqam not responding. So any help i can get would be appreciated.
thanks, Cowlitz
First make sure you download and install, MS .NET Framework 2.0.

Next step is to download and install this Nvidia control panel for your video card, called nHancer.

1.)Once you install nhancer, open it an you'll see a screen Figure 1.0.

2.)Scroll down in the "Profiles" screen until you see Medal of Honor Figure 1.1. Don't worry that it only says Allied Assault. Make sure that all of your MOH .exe files are in the "Executables" window. If not add them. In the "Enhanced" tab on the right make sure yours looks the same!

3.)Under the "Optimizations" tab match the settings shown Figure 1.2.

4.)Now the most important one. In this picture, under the "Compatibility" tab make sure you configure your settings EXACTLY like this Figure 1.3. The only thing you may have to change in this section is at the very bottom "CPU Multicore Support". If you have a single core, select single. If you have a multi core (Dual Core, Quad Core) select multi core.

5.)Finally, on the game shortcut on your desktop right click on it, scroll down to properties, and on the "Compatibility" tab set your setting like this Figure 1.4

That's it brother, quick and painless. If you have any more issues I will gladly help. :yay:

I highly recommend another GIG of RAM for a smoother Vista interface. Vista uses alot of memory!!

While helping Cowl fix his system, I noticed from documentation, that all previous Nvidia drivers must be uninstalled prior to updating drivers. For some strange reason "updating" drivers to the newer drivers screws up a bunch of registry settings.

Anyway, while installing the newest Nvidia drivers there is an option to uninstall the older version. From what Cowl has told me this part took awhile. This step apparently has to be repeated continuously until the old drivers are completely gone.

Once uninstalling the old driver successfully, follow the post above and your golden! :pc:
