new video card

I have a ati all in wonder 9600xt video card .whitch works fine but i just bought a lg 22 in. wide screen monitor l.c.d. with dvi-d .Anybody have any suggestions on a new card with dvi-d
did lots of research but i am now even more confused,,,, Oh wait maybe its the whiskey???
My mother board is AGP 8X.
would like to go digital but video card only has vga plugs.

Longjohn, You do need another video card w/ DVI out and a DVI cable in order to run Digital to your new monitor. Your MOBO appears to be old also. If you have extra bucks it maybe time to upgrade. This goes back to analogy of nickel and dimming and old beater (car). If not, there are many older video cards w/ DVI out for about $100. You will need to stay w/ an ATI card though because of you config. Check out newegg.com

Hello MOBO is a pentium 4, 4.8ghz hyperthreading , 2 gb ddr sdram at 400 mhz,800mhz system bus

Sorry uber what i meant is it is 2.4ghz dual processors for an equivalent of 4.8 in total
