To take a screenshot in the game do the following - press f12

the default should be f12 to take a screenshot, if not you may need your console to bind a key for it - so be sure to check console in your option settings and press ~ key to open your console.

Then you can type this in console -
now you can take a screenshot in game by pressing f12. Look in your mainta/screenshots for spearhead maintt/screenshots for Breakthrough.

You may need a program to view TGAs. I use irfanview- its free at downloads.com

I use this bind to my mouse3 button - to take screenshots without alot of junk on the screen.
This turns of your hud and pauses just long enough for your screen to clear - takes the shot without printing confirmation to the screen and then restores the hud.

You may need to adjust the wait 50 depending on your performance, fps etc.

Note the screen is not completely clean with this method - you will still see typing on the banner and certain text in spec. There are programs to clean everything for screenies but you need to restart the game to turn them on and off.
