Today, December 7th

Post by ViPER »

On this day in 1941: Pearl Harbour was attacked without a declaration of war by Japanese aircraft, sinking much of the US fleet and killing thousands of US military Personnel. In Honor of the true Legends that fought and died for our freedoms let's take a moment to reflect on the events of December 7th 1941.

Thanks for posting that Viper... Today is also my grandma's BDay. She was 6 when that happened. Kind of a bad way that I remember her BDay this way.

I remember reading approximately 2,400 Naval and assorted military personnel died on Dec. 7th. Radar was in place prior to Dec. 7th in outposts but not commanded, manned or operated properly and subsequently the Japaneese came in unabated.

Not to lessen the catastrophic tragedy at Pearl Harbor but there were more killed on the 911 attack.

The difference here is the Japaneese tried to take out as much of America's military power in the pacific to start a war w/ an edge
Bin Laden tried to kill/slaughter as many innocent American people (infidels) as he could w/ (3) planes like a scum-bucket

Either one has no honor but the Japaneese in a strategic move wanted to take out the pacific fleet, Bin Laden wanted to kill/slaughter innocent people for no reason but to justify his idealistic views. (I say Idealistic view as I don't want to get into the Koran)

The Japaneese started it and we finished it in Victory for freedom
Bin Laden started it and we can capture or kill him but we can't kill the idealistic view, this one I am afraid will never end.

To those who died defending our Freedom I salute you in honor of you
To those who fight for our freedom and freedom of the oppressed today I pray for you daily to keep you safe and to keep the American flag raised high in your Honor.
