I personally was unable to view the eclipse, due to Uber getting his 5 hours a night sleep. Here is some pictures from one of the users out here from work. Wish I could have seen it.
Nice Pic's guys, I didn't take any pic's (my digital does not allow shutter speed control) but what I did find interesting here in AK the moon was completly blackened as the earth covered it. Using 10x50 binoculars I could not see what you guys saw as far as still being able to see the crators etc.
The moon was set about 30-35 degrees off the horizon to the SE, maybe it was the angle of the dangle lol
Very nice pic, Viper!
As an amature astronomer, I'm ashamed that I didn't get up and take some shots. As you may know, I have a couple sweet scopes... :smack:
There will be a total SOLAR eclipse visible in North America in the year 2017. That is REAL astronomy! Can't wait.
Nice Picture Vip. Here is a picture my 9 yr old duaghter took of the the moon last week at Canon Beech Oregon last week early evening around 5:30 using the same camera.
